Who is the top 3
Eh... given that the mid major poll is based on a duel meet and not a championship meet, I'd say Delaware might sqeeze ahead of ODU right now. Grady Carter has the upper hand in the 50 and 100 free. Blue Hens kill in both relays, which is huge duel meet points. Gillan wins the hundred fly and hundred back. Split diving. Roberts wins the two back. Thats seven wins in a sixteen event list including two relays, which I think should get you close to a victory. Its early in the season though. At CAA's ODU will probably beat Delaware though which is why the whole system is weird.
Isn't Navy, Air Force, and West Point all federal tax dollars at work?
As far as whatever is usually considered a mid-major heres my top three RIGHT NOW (and this doesn't include Ivy because how can you be ranked if you haven't swum yet):
1. Navy
2. Denver
3. UNCW?
Yeah I didn't do much research for that but I would imagine Loyola is up there with Morris's 500, 1650, 400 IM. Ozzy Torres's 50 free and 100 fly. And Jacob Drannan's whatever. I could see Loyola being a top five mid-major at the end of the year or even at the winter poll.
