Bentley University sophomore Mike Walsh (South Salem, N.Y./John Jay HS) was victorious in both diving events, but Brandeis University prevailed in most of the swimming events en route to a 131-99 win over the cross-town Falcons in men’s college swimming at the Dana Center pool Tuesday night.
Walsh posted a score of 216.35 points off the one-meter board, and competing unopposed, had 221.90 on the three-meter.
Bentley’s other first in the meet was recorded by senior Willie Connolly (Washington, Conn./ Shepaug Valley HS), with a time of 2:03.03 in the 200 backstroke. He was also second in the 200 individual medley, finishing in 2:04.85.
Junior Egen Ouellette (West Hartford, Conn./Conard HS) had two of Bentley’s seven second-place showings. He was the runner-up in the 1000 freestyle, completing the grueling race in 10:36.19, and was also second in the 100 free (49.93).
Brandeis was led by junior Aaron Bennett (Setauket, N.Y.) and senior James Liu (Longmeadow). Bennett was a triple-winner, capturing the 1000 free (10:26.61), the 200 butterfly (2:01.96) and the 500 free (5:00.14). Liu anchored the Judges’ winning 400 medley relay team (3:43.93) and finished first in the 50 free (22.27) and the 100 free (48.42).
Bentley, 1-2, is next in action Saturday with a 1 pm meet at UMass-Dartmouth.

Junior Anne Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) captured three individual events and freshman Monika Drogosz (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) touched first in a pair of freestyle races as Bentley University topped crosstown rival Brandeis University, 136-96, in women’s swimming at the Dana Center pool Tuesday night.
Kaduboski’s victories came in the 1000 yard freestyle (10:59.91), the 200 butterfly (2:10.20) and the 500 free (5:20.05). Her performance in the 200 fly improved on the NCAA “B” cut time she posted in a dual meet at Le Moyne earlier this month by 0.26 seconds.
Drogosz posted wins in the 50 free (26.44 seconds) and the 100 free (57.25) after anchoring Bentley’s winning 400 medley relay. That quartet, which finished in 4:18.97, also included sophomore Susie Boretti (Westford/Westford Academy) and freshmen Taryn Dooley (Feeding Hills/Agawam HS) and Jessica Hodsdon (Brewer, Maine/Brewer HS).
Bentley’s other individual winner was freshman Abby Mathews (Chelmsford/Chelmsford HS), with a score of 216.05 in the one-meter diving.
Bentley wrapped up the meet with a first-place finish in the 400 free relay (3:50.48). That group consisted of freshman Kelly Mazza (Merrick, N.Y./Calhoun HS), junior Sarah Temple (Topsham, Maine/ Cheverus HS) and seniors Erin Koslosky (Washington Depot, Conn./Shepaug Valley HS) and Carolyn Connolly (Palm Desert, Calif./Palm Desert HS).
Bentley, 2-1, will swim at UMass-Dartmouth Saturday at 1 pm.
